Over the last couple of years Stornoway have been quietly honing their art, practicing in freezing cold garages, crowding around together in songwriter Ben Briggs’ bedroom and performing their local circuit in Oxford, often to the smallest of audiences. It wasn’t long until Stornoway began grabbing the attention of the listening public, Tim Bearder of BBC Oxford was so struck by the five-piece he dedicated an entire show to the band.

It’s simple to see why they catch the eye so effortlessly; the charm of their songs mixed with rousing live performances inspires a quite feverish devotion and adoration.
