I Am Arrows are the live band around former Razorlight man Andy Burrows's new solo project. After recruiting two guitarists, a bassist and drummer, he named the band after chatting with Coldplay's Chris Martin: 'He suggested I adopted a band name to make me sound more interesting. I decided on I Am Arrows because it sounded a bit like Andy Burrows.'
They have so far played just a small clutch of shows, among them a residency at London's Old Blue Last, and with Muse at the Stade De France in Paris (rather brilliantly, I Am Arrows' first confirmed booking was actually for a show at Wembley Stadium - they'll join Muse there on 11th September 2010).
Having presented that said Old Blue residency, we are proud to announce that I Am Arrows will be heading out on their first UK tour in mid September. The tour will support the releases of both singles “Green Grass” 9th August and album “Sun Comes Up” 16th August on Vertigo and follow the small matter of THAT Muse Wembley show. And just like that said show, this tour is going to be HUGE...
