A cross between, Goldfrapp, Kate Bush and Siouxsie and the Banshee, 18-year-old, Walthamstow girl Spark, released her debut single, "Shut Out The Moon" a wonderfully subversive synth pop gem with the catchiest of choruses, 2nd August. A writer who chooses her words carefully, Spark?s lyrics are influenced purely by people, situations, relationships, losses and gains. The buzz surrounding Spark was set alight when label of the moment Neon Gold, began twittering about her. Subsequently after hearing and loving early myspace demos, Marina and The Diamonds offered Spark her much coveted UK tour support. Spark heads to rock Unit and Southampton in amongst a clutch of taste-making London shows before what is sure to be an emergence into the mainstream conscience in 2011. Watch this space...
